Republican Senator Mike Braun has submitted a resolution to the United States Senate on designating September 2023 as “Macedonian American Heritage Month” is a huge honor and recognition for the contribution of Macedonian Americans to the development of the multicultural society of the United States of America.
The resolution states that it is important to emphasize the numerous contributions of Macedonian Americans in the United States from various fields, starting from culture and art, to politics, business, medicine, science and sports.
“To recognize the numerous contributions of Macedonian Americans in the United States in various fields and to encourage the citizens of the United States to commemorate Macedonian American Heritage Month with appropriate ceremonies, activities and programs that honor the cultural contributions and achievements of Macedonian Americans,” reads the submitted resolution.
