Today, the Republic of North Macedonia is a multi-ethnic success story that Europe needs just as much as Europe needs us. This was announced by Prime Minister DimitarKovachevski in his address held at the Kale fortress in Skopje on the observance of August 2, the Day of the Republic – Ilinden.
“United we won the battle for membership in NATO, united we can also win the next battle – full membership in the European Union. We did that with the lessons of the past and with an eye to the future, with steps forward, not back,”Kovachevski said.
Kovachevskiadded that the deep democratic principles on which the Krushevo Republic was based, expressed in the Krushevo Manifesto, which proclaims equality, are not coincidentally the foundations of the modern Republic of North Macedonia.
