The Independent Police Union demands that the Ministry of Interior pay compensation for overtime work, and also accuses that redistribution is carried out without paying attention to the procedure. The union says that the salary increase is insufficient.

“There are about 11,500 employees in the Ministry of Interior, and over 16,000 court proceedings have been initiated by the employees against the Ministry in the last five years. This is because the Ministry has turned a deaf ear for years to the demands of the Independent Police Union, and continues to not pay the food allowance for night shift, does not pay the minimum wage, miscalculates overtime and does not pay the collective health insurance to which it is obligated,” said Martin Efremov at a press conference held by the Independent Police Union.
