The public is still waiting for the text of the Declaration on Ilinden announced by SDS. As a reminder, they announced a Declaration honor of 120 years of the Ilinden Uprising. Ilinden has passed, August will also pass, there is not even a letter, not yet a parliamentary session for a Declaration on Ilinden from SDSM, VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Naum Stoilkovski stressed at a press briefing on Friday.
“Bulgaria talks about the Bulgarian character of the Ilinden Uprising and the insurgents, as well as that the ultimate goal of the Ilinden Uprising was joining Bulgaria as an ideal left for the future and for the youth. SDS hid the text of the Declaration on Ilinden, neither published it, nor sent it to VMRO-DPMNE seeking consensus and unanimity for its vote in the Parliament, nor could it be found in the parliamentary documents published on the Internet until this morning. Hence, we ask once again: Did SDS get scared or was it forbidden to pass a Declaration on Ilinden as a Macedonian pillar of statehood,” said Stoilkovski.
