The Democratic Union (DS) proposes that at Friday’s session the MPs make a decision to dissolve the Parliament, which will create constitutional opportunities to hold extraordinary general elections within 60 days.

“It is quite certain that there is no civil and political consensus for a change in the Constitution that would make the Bulgarians a constituent nation in Macedonia. Without reciprocity for the recognition of the rights of Macedonians in Bulgaria, as well as without support for the Negotiating Framework, from which the bilateral issues (historical, educational, linguistic, etc.) imposed by Bulgaria and outside of the Copenhagen criteria will be removed, there will be no and there will be no change to the Constitution,” the DS party said on Thursday.
