The Platform of Civil Organizations for Fighting against Corruption demands the resignation of the Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Jovevski. The Platform bases its demand on the information included in the IRL documentary on the Tetovo Hospital fire “Murder in Tetovo”, which revealed that Joveski didn’t complete the investigation and didn’t take German expertise into consideration.
Doubts are being raised in the public about the most professional actions of the Prosecutor’s Office and neglect of circumstances that can expand the charges and incriminate other persons, the Platform says. They add that the Office for Organized Crime and Corruption is still investigating the allegations of corruption for public procurement in the case, despite the fact that the deadline of Article 301 of the Law on Criminal Procedure has already passed.
