The Platform of Civil Organizations for the Fight Against Corruption requested the resignation of the State Public Prosecutor, Ljubomir Joveski, due to the actions of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in connection with the fire in the Tetovo modular hospital when 14 people were killed.
They add that this is compounded by the fact that the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption is still investigating the allegations of corruption in the implementation of public procurement in the case, despite the fact that the deadline of Article 301 of the Criminal Code has already been exceeded, and while no explanations have been offered to the public either as to why the deadline was extended in accordance with paragraphs 2 and 3 of the same article, nor why despite this extension the investigation did not result in a conclusion.
