Three conclusions at the meeting of the Executive Committee held Monday. First was thanks to the parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition because all the deputies remained consistent and persistent in the position that we jointly adopted, which is that we cannot accept constitutional amendments, and this was confirmed on Friday during the voting of the agenda , says VMRO-DPMNE MP and party deputy leader Aleksandar Nikoloski in an interview with TV21, after yesterday’s session of the party’s Executive Committee.
Nikoloski stresseded that they brought a conclusion to the session and a request to Xhaferi to immediately put the item on constitutional amendments to a vote, and not to postpone it, because the government of SDS and DUI itself scheduled the session on August 18, all in order to see the will of the MPs.
The second thing that we requested is that the vote on the constitutional amendments should not be postponed, i.e. it should be immediately put in the Parliament and this process should not be delayed because at the end of the day, August 18 as a deadline for, conditionally speaking, voting or not voting was determined by the Government.
Deputy leader Nikoloski pointed out that considering that the Government cannot deliver what it promised, which is the beginning of negotiations with the European Union, the most logical thing is to dissolve the Parliament and go to snap general elections, adding that VMRO-DPMNE is ready to give up on the caretaker government.
“It’s evident that the Government cannot deliver, and considering that it cannot deliver, the most logical thing is to go with snap elections, which we are calling for to happen as soon as possible, to dissolve the Parliament and within the legally stipulated period of 50 days for holding snap elections. And we are also ready to make a concession, which is to give up on the so-called Przhino government or caretaker government. That is, VMRO-DPMNE voluntarily gives up two ministers and three deputy ministers from that caretaker government to conduct elections,” Nikoloski noted.
