As in every academic year, this 2023/24 academic year students are again facing the same problems from previous years, the Student Resistance announced on Sunday.
This year, according to the announcement, the monthly rent in the student dormitories has increased to 3,945 denars, depreciation costs to 700 denars, for printed 4 sheets of A4 format when moving in, students pay 500 denars, and 300 denars for the fictitious meal card that is not used at all.
“One of the biggest scandals before the beginning of the academic year is that students in dormitories have had their breakfast canceled. Instead of getting an increase in the amount, they cut their breakfast and increase their rent by 30 percent,” reads the press release.
