The leader of the ruling DUI Ali Ahmeti in an interview with TV 21 talks about the sharp reaction of the public as to why the amendments to the Criminal Code are now taking place, emphasizing that there was an agreement with VMRO-DPMNE regarding the constitutional amendments.

“There is no agreement with VMRO-DPMNE to approve the constitutional amendments. VMRO-DPMNE has publicly stated its position that it will not vote on the constitutional amendments under Bulgarian dictate.

We have huge differences here, this is a very hot topic, a topic that requires a very focused approach. We are very different from VMRO-DPMNE in this regard,” said Ahmeti.
