The former mayor of Skopje Centar Vladimir Todorovikj is the first to feel the benefits brought by the new amendments to the Criminal Code.
In June, he was accused in the “Phoenix” investigation that, as an official, he abused his official position and authority for the “Skopje 2014” project. From then until last Friday, Todorovikj was under house arrest.
At the prosecutor’s suggestion, the court canceled this restriction of his freedom. The crime he was suspected of, according to these changes that came into force on September 15, falls under the status of limitations this year.
