Voting in presidential and parliamentary elections ends

Polling stations for Wednesday’s presidential runoff and parliamentary elections closed at 7 pm. The polls opened at 7 am. 1,814,317 citizens registered in the voter list had the right to vote in the presidential elections, and 1,815,350 in the parliamentary elections.
At 3,480 polling stations, Macedonians were able to vote for one of the two presidential candidates, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova and Stevo Pendarovski, the two candidates that won the most votes in the first election round on April 24.
In the second round of voting, the candidate who will receive the majority of the votes will be elected, if more than 40 percent of the registered voters, that is 725,727 voters, and 362,864 voters voted for that candidate.
