The union of air traffic controllers in the state-owned JSC M-NAV for air navigation services announces a strike on October 12, during which no aircraft will be serviced at the Skopje and Ohrid airports from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Union head Aleksandar Tasevski told MIA that they want to stop what he says are unprofessional behavior by the directors in terms of hiring processes, internal redeployments, working conditions and equipment that should be implemented to modernize the work system.
As he says, they have been pointing out the unfavorable conditions for a long time, and they have also informed the Ministry of Transport.
According to Tasevski, hiring is done contrary to the acts for career development, priorities are given to those who choose the hiring managers, and this does not guarantee the quality of the person and creates a revolt among quality staff who are not given a chance to progress.
