For more than 3 decades, the Macedonian people have shown themselves to be great cosmopolitans and are not anachronistic people. If we were to become a member of the EU after amendments to the Constitution, we would have been champions by now, we would have been a member of the EU a long time ago. The fact that the EU is not fair to us, so for the first time it includes bilateral agreements, and that’s right. We are a small nation, a small country, and we cannot oppose the giant EU if they decide to do so, and that is clear to us, we lead a real policy. But we are looking for something with which the dignity and pride of the Macedonian will be at least a little satisfied. We are not asking for anything new, we have no imperialistic demands, but demands that will only be a confirmation of something we have had. On the other hand, let’s have a predictable process, in which we won’t be faced with other additional blockages again, says VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski in an interview with Fokus weekly.
