At least one hundred Israelis and at least 198 Palestinians died in Saturday’s offensive by the Palestinian movement Hamas against Israel, which declared war and provoked retaliation from the Israeli side with airstrikes and bombing of Gaza, according to the latest data.
So far, about a hundred Israelis have been killed in Hamas attacks, Israeli television station N12 News reported. At least 985 were wounded. Health authorities in the Gaza Strip said at least 198 people were killed and 1,610 injured in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
Israel said the Iran-backed group had declared war on Israel, and the military confirmed it was fighting militants in several Israeli cities and military bases near Gaza.
