The Department for Computer Crime and Digital Forensics at the Bureau of Public Security of the Ministry of Interior has noted a frequent occurrence of so-called phishing attacks on citizens, with the aim of obtaining unauthorized personal data.

The attacks aim to trick the recipient of the message into revealing their personal information, visiting a fake website, or opening an attachment attached to the message that is infected with a virus. Attempts usually come through e-mail, but also from social media, through a text message or a phone call. The Ministry of Interior urges for special vigilance when receiving such messages, in order not to fall prey to frauds of this type and not to share and exchange personal data with unknown persons and with persons whose true identity cannot be determined.
