The Ministry of Health informs that the installation of the new accelerator at the Radiotherapy and Oncology Clinic begins today. Minister Mexhiti said that the first two phases of dismantling the twenty-year-old accelerator have been completed and adaptation and renovation of the bunker has been done.
“We solve problems quickly and efficiently. I am pleased to inform you that as of today we are starting the installation of the new Varian 6116 accelerator at the Radiotherapy and Oncology Clinic. The de-installation of the linear accelerator which is about 20 years old, which started in August, has been completed and the adaptation and renovation of the bunker has been done,” said Mexhiti.
