The new building of the Forensic Department opened within the premises of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Wednesday, a project funded by the EU Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA).
Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski said the forensic lab was the most contemporary of its kind in the Balkans.
“Throughout the years, Macedonian forensic labs have continually been modernized through implementation of international standards. In parallel with the equipping of the labs came the need for proper spatial capacities, dictated by the increase in the workload but also operations that require sensitivity and precision,” said Minister Spasovski.
