“Chain” raid: Detention for 13 people, one goes to house arrest

Thirteen people were sent to prison detention, while one person will go to house arrest, and for 12 of the suspects in the police raid dubbed “Chain”, the judge accepted the proposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption and a precautionary measure was determined for them, informed the Skopje Criminal Court on Tuesday.

In the “Chain” raid organized by the PPO for Organized Crime and Corruption and the Financial Police Administration, 26 owners and managers of 28 legal entities who are suspected of having committed crimes of unlawful assembly, tax evasion, money laundering and other crimes from The Criminal Code.

The suspects in the case have damaged the budget for almost 8 million euros.
