The case of the missing 14-year-old Vanja stirred up the Macedonian public. The girl went to school Monday at 7:30 a.m. and since then, all trace of her has been lost. The girl disappeared in broad daylight in the center of Skopje. In addition to the police, relatives of the family, her classmates, and the entire Internet community in Macedonia joined the search.

However, it must be mentioned that despite the engagement of the police, Macedonia still does not have an organized alarm system for missing children.

According to official data from the Ministry of Interior, in the last three years between 2020 and the beginning of this month, 74 minors went missing. Of them, 65 have been found. Nine children are still missing.
