Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, along with his Bulgarian and Azerbaijani counterparts President Rumen Radev and President Ilham Aliyev, attended the commissioning of the Serbia – Bulgaria gas interconnector in Nish and announced the construction of a gas interconnector to North Macedonia as well, media report.
“We will build gas and energy infrastructures in general in the future, which is included in [European Commissioner Oliver] Varhelyi’s plan. We will build a gas interconnector to North Macedonia, too,” President Vučić said.
He added that he hoped that Bosnia and Herzegovina would also agree to the building of a gas interconnector. He also said works for the construction of an oil pipeline between Serbia and Hungary were set to begin in 2024.
