Macedonian Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi believes that the country will return to normal inflation rates in the coming year, despite the fact that 2024 will be a year of recovery from all the economic difficulties since 2020.

“Latest data indicate that the tendency and trend of reducing inflation is already taking us to where we stood. We expect inflation in 2024 to be at the level of 2-2.5 percent and the same for the annual GDP growth,” Bytyqi told reporters during Monday’s visit to Kochani alongside Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Kaja Shukova and Deputy Health Minister Maja Manoleva.
