Deskoska is the new vice-chair of Venice Commission’s Sub-Commission on Judiciary

Professor Renata Deskoska has been elected Vice-Chair of the Sub-Commission on the Judiciary of the Venice Commission.
Deskoska’s election took place as part of the 137th plenary session of the Venice Commission, held 14-16 December, 2023. Nicos Alivizatos, Professor of Constitutional Law at the Athens Law School and former Interior Minister of Greece, was elected Chair of the Sub-Commission. The Sub-Commission on the Judiciary is competent to review opinions and propose amendments to the opinions that the Venice Commission brings on issues related to reforms or the situation in the judiciary.
