According to the level of air pollution, Skopje was ranked 6th in the world today, according to the website AirVisual, which collects data from all over the world.

The capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, ranked first, the shows the website’s list.
The pollution index is currently 165, which is also a sign that the air is unhealthy, and the most prevalent are PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles.
Skopje and Sarajevo have similar climatic disadvantages because they are located in valleys in which, under certain weather conditions, there is no ventilation, there is fog, and pollution from industry, traffic and heating of homes remains in the air.
