The average monthly net wage paid per employee in October was MKD 38,843 (EUR 630), up by 17.3 percent compared to the same month in 2022, the State Statistical Office(SSO) said on Thursday.
The index of the average monthly paid net salary per employee in October 2023, compared to October 2022, is 117.3, that is, the salary is higher by 17.3 percent compared to that of the same month last year.
The increase is primarily due to the growth of the average net salary in the following sectors: Public Administration and Defense; mandatory social insurance (26.2 %), water supply; waste water removal, waste management and environmental remediation activities (20.2 %), Supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (20.0 %).
