Commenting on the problem and the solution with neighboring Bulgaria, related to Macedonian European integration, Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski in an interview with Kanal 5 TV’s political program on Thursday evening pointed out that Bulgaria has spent its political potential in Europe in order to be able to impose new vetoes.
“I claim that Bulgaria has spent its political capital in Europe to block a candidate for membership in the Union with this nonsense that it has been doing for the past 3 years. And finally, I claim that Europe told them – here is at least something for you, so that you will not be left without anything from all your demands. The demands of the Bulgarians were anachronistic, out of touch with reality. However, during that period, Europe, unfortunately, did not deal with Bulgaria, and they said that it should be resolved bilaterally. When Europe got involved indirectly, then they said – only the Bulgarians in the Constitution, forget the rest,” said President Pendarovski in the TV interview.
