The State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) has submitted an initiative to the Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime for the criminal prosecution of the former director of ESM, as well as officials in the Ministry of Economy and ESM, for the tender for the procurement of fuel oil for TPP Negotino.
The indicated persons were members of the Public Procurement Commission for the fuel oil tender of 212 million euros, which was won by Ratko Kapushevski’s company RKM.
Commission member Goran Trpenoski that worked on the case says that there are doubts that the officials abused their official duties and caused a crisis and an increase in the price of fuel oil, which enabled RKM to make more profit.
There are suspicions of monopolistic association, tax evasion and other crimes.
They will inform the Government, the Commission for the Protection of Competition, the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), the IRS and the Financial Police about their suspicions.
