Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski told an end-of-the-year press briefing that crime rates have dropped by 8 percent, saying 13 criminal organizations with over 100 members have been thwarted in 2023.
The minister mentioned the holding of the Interpol International Conference in Ohrid as well as the OSCE ministerial meeting in Skopje as the main events. He also pointed to the management of migration flows, the harmonization of the legal framework for migration with the International Convention on Migrants, the fight against terrorism, the prevention of drug trafficking, where he said great progress has been made.
