The public prosecutor has been informed about the arrest of Drin Ahmedi, the nephew of the leader of DUI Ali Ahmeti, who a few months ago became the owner of the exclusive business center called Soravia, and the public prosecutor will decide on the further course of the proceedings.
The now 25-year-old Drin Ahmedi was detained on Saturday evening in the center of Skopje, after police officers stopped his vehicle and found around 750 pieces of prohibited pyrotechnics in it. The public prosecutor has been notified of the event. According to the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office, the public prosecutor will decide on the further course of the procedure, depending on the facts that will be determined by expert reports on the pyrotechnic devices found.
Drin Ahmedi, the son of Fekri Ahmeti, who is the brother of the DUI leader Ali Ahmeti, became the owner of the Soravia business center a few months ago. Since 2020, he is the owner of the construction project development company Tor Industries, which is also a co-owner of the company Everest JD, which has an active concession for the exploitation of limestone at the Bukovikj locality in Zajas and regularly wins government tenders.
