We thought these guys from SDS and DUI were Europeans, but they were selling firecrackers. This year cannot end more shamefully for the government than yesterday’s scandal, Ali Ahmeti’s nephew, the one with an entrepreneurial spirit, Drin Ahmedi, was caught with a vehicle full of pyrotechnics and firecrackers, VMRO-DPMNE spokesperson Naum Stoilkovski said at a press conference on Sunday.
“The Government must answer: Since Ali Ahmeti is part of the ‘European coalition’, and a few nights ago the millionaire Drin Ahmedi bought the Soravia center, we found out that he smuggled firecrackers, from which European country they were brought, is the sound they make European and did they inform the European Commission about this reform of theirs with pyrotechnic means?,” reacted the spokesperson of the opposition party.
Stoilkoski stated that he was aware of exceptions made in the police record in connection with the incident, as the crime was reclassified from a criminal offense to a mere misdemeanor of “disturbance of order and peace”, for which only a mandatory fine was determined.
“Was (Interior Minister) Spasovski afraid of Drin Ahmedi’s name being mentioned? And has everything been changed under public pressure? What else will Macedonia experience with SDS and DUI?,” said Stoilkovski.
