The deadline that the Greek company Archirodon had to sign the contract for the Chebren project and the construction of the Crna Reka hydropower plant has expired. With this, it is more than certain that the 14th tender for the construction of the HPP Chebren will also fail.

According to the information of the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Kaja Shukova, a team of lawyers who have already worked on the project was formed on Tuesday and they had the task of reviewing the complete documentation for the tender and by tomorrow at the latest to make recommendations that should be the next steps of the competent institutions in Macedonia. Minister Shukova will then submit this recommendation to the Government.

Previously, no agreement was signed with the Greek company to establish a joint body with ESM for investment and to establish a joint company that should continue with the implementation of this project.
