Import of pork from Macedonia to Albania only with a certificate that it is not infected with African plague

Albania has banned the import of pigs, meat and their products from Macedonia. This is because cases of people infected with the African Plague disease have been detected in the neighboring country, Ora News reported on Monday.

But in cases where it is proven with certificates that the pigs or their meat and pork products are not infected, then their importation will be allowed.

The decision was made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, for an indefinite period.
