The country has now evacuated all of its citizens stranded in Gaza, after the last three Macedonian nationals there, a mother with two children who had previously stayed in the war-torn enclave by their own choice, sought to be evacuated as Israeli attacks continue unabated. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in a press release, the family has been safely evacuated to Cairo, Egypt, and will soon be arriving in N. Macedonia.
They were the last Macedonian citizens to contact North Macedonia’s diplomatic consular missions in Cairo and Tel Aviv asking to be evacuated.
In the release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) thanks the International Organization for Migration for helping with the evacuees’ travel arrangements from Cairo to Skopje.
In case any other nationals of N. Macedonia are stranded in Gaza, they can call the Embassy in Tel Aviv (+972-54-926-7378) or the Embassy in Cairo (+201-03-361-5542) for help
