Lidl to invest EUR 80 million and open more than 150 jobs in Macedonia

German retail chain Lidl will launch its operations in North Macedonia at an event held in Rechica industrial zone near Kumanovo on Wednesday.

The company will start the preparatory activities for construction of a logistics and distribution center, an investment worth about EUR 80 million and opening more than 150 jobs.

“We will invest around 80 million euros in the construction of the logistics center alone to create a modern and sustainable facility, according to the latest construction standards. Lidl is a responsible, reliable and fair partner for both buyers and its suppliers,” said the CEO of Lidl North Macedonia,RubriyanHadzhiev.
