On 24.01.2024 at 8 p.m. on the A1 highway, Negotino – Gradsko, near the Negotino interchange, police officers from the mobile unit of the Department for Border Affairs and Migrations arrested a minor from the village of Studenichani, Skopje.
During a check in a passenger vehicle Fiat Stilo with Skopje license plates, which he was driving, eight migrants from Syria were found, one of them a minor. At 8:05 p.m. on the A1 highway, near the Stobi locality, another team of the Mobile Unit deprived E.D. (30) and 46-year-old E.Sh., both from Skopje, of their liberty. They suspect that with a Volkswagen Golf passenger vehicle with Skopje license plates, which was driven by ED, they were the predecessor of the Fiat vehicle in which migrants were transported.
