The Agency for Electronic Communications (AEC) states a lack of market competition in mobile telephony in the latest analysis of the relevant market for call termination in mobile telephony. It indicates that potential competition can and should be created, but that in terms of structural and legal barriers that exist in the market, it is limited and represents a barrier.
This is the sixth analysis prepared by AEC for a relevant market for call termination in mobile telephony, and it was prepared in cooperation with the Commission for the Protection of Competition. Based on it, a Decision was made to designate M-tel as an operator with significant market power in the relevant wholesale market of call termination services in public mobile communication networks in the geographical area of the country.
