Chips from Kosovo withdrawn from sale of due to excessive amount of cadmium, warns FVA

The Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) informed on its official website that the chips with production date 23.08.2023 and expiration date 23.05.2024, whose producer is “PESTOVA LLC” – Kosovo, have been withdrawn from sale due to safety concerns. The agency appeals to citizens who have bought packages of these chips not to consume them and to return them to the place of purchase.

Dutch organic cocoa “Cacao powder raw” and chips “VIPA Grill” have been withdrawn as unsafe, informs the Food Agency.

The cocoa was not put on sale, nor distributed to the final consumers, but it contained an amount of cadmium above the allowed amount, while the chips were available on the market and the presence of acrylamide was detected in it.
