The Prime Minister of Kosovo, AlbinKurti can voice support for politicians in North Macedonia, just as other foreigners have done in the past, said Macedonian President StevoPendarovski on Wednesday during his visit to the TetovoUnivarsity.
“His support of people who are Macedonian nationals is not an issue. We are not talking about foreigners participating in our elections, because that is forbidden. All the names that are mentioned in the media as being his people are nationals of the Republic of North Macedonia and have the right to participate in the elections. Kurti can voice political support to whoever he wishes, since this has been done by the Party of European Socialists and the European People’s Party for years,” said President Pendarovski.
Asked to comment on the statement by Serbian President AleksandarVučić that Kurti wants to win against DUI in Macedonia, Pendarovski stressed that he wouldn’t comment on statements by foreign nationals who, he said, likely have some domestic agenda.
