In the transitional and final provisions in the Minimum Wage Law, it is stated that collective agreements should be harmonized within six months. Due to the fact that the collective agreement for health activity is not in compliance with the minimum wage law, except for jobs with the lowest degree of complexity, we request that the minimum wage, multiplied by the workplace coefficient, be the basis for calculating the salary of health workers.

This request of ours is based and in accordance with the Minimum Wage Law, explained Bobi Bojchevski, national coordinator of the Independent Union of Healthcare Employees.

The union announces protests if there is no adjustment of wages to the minimum wage. Protests would be during breaks and only emergencies would be handled. What will be implemented from this depends on how the representatives of the union organization will agree these days.
