Incumbent Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski announced his re-election bid at a press conference on Friday, saying he would run as an independent candidate backed by SDSM and its coalition partners.
“I will attend the the SDSM Congress on Sunday to thank them for their support, and as of Monday I will have meetings with all ten parties from that coalition, from whom I will want to hear proposals, which I would include in my program. This is a civil candidacy and I call on all citizens, from Sunday March 3rd, to support my presidential bid,” Pendarovski pointed out.
