Over 40% of citizens still do not have a passport, and 25% have canceled their trips, according to the latest survey conducted by the Institute for Political Research Skopje for Detektor.

One in four citizens said that due to problems with the document renewal procedure, they had to cancel an already planned trip, while 66% of those surveyed did not have this problem. Citizens between the ages of 30 and 40 had the biggest problem when traveling, where even 36.4% of those surveyed had to cancel a trip because they did not have a passport.

Over 63% of citizens already have a new ID card, while 43% have a new passport and another 43% a new driver’s license.
