During the 13th week of 2024 – from March 25 to March 31, 163 cases of group reports for people suffering from influenza or flu-like diseases were reported in the country, which is 38.5 percent less compared to the previous week, shows the latest report of the Public Health Institute (PHI).
When it comes to the age distribution, 111 people are between the ages of 15 and 64, 31 children between the ages of five and 14, 12 people over the age of 65 and nine registered children under the age of four.
In the 2023/2024 season, the total number of cases of flu and flu-like diseases is 14,490, which compared to the same period of the last season, the number of reported cases has increased by 41.8 percent, and compared to the model of the last 13 seasons, there is a decrease of 30.6 percent. Fourteen deaths were registered.
