Angelovska-Bezhoska: Better access to finance is important for inclusive growth for the Western Balkans region

At the invitation of the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE), Governor Anita Angelovska-Bezhoska, accompanied by the Governor of the Central Bank of BiH, JasminaSelimović and the regional director of EFSE, MjeraJuzbašić-Bajgorić, addressed the conference titled “Gender Finances in the Western Balkans”.

“Building equal opportunities in terms of the gender dimension, where unfortunately large differences still exist, requires coordinated global efforts of macroeconomic policy makers. With support from international and European institutions, as well as the European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE), important steps can be taken for better access to finance and inclusiveness of women in the countries of the Western Balkans,” Governor Anita Angelovska-Bezhoska stressed during her address. She emphasized that access to financing is an important determinant for the development of entrepreneurship among women, which is weaker in the region.
