MacedonianCaretaker Minister Interior PancheToshkovski said that no police officer should be a member of a political party. At a press conference on Friday, after the working visit of the Skopje Police Department, Toshkovski responded to a journalist’s question about photos of police officers and politicians that appeared in Tetovo, and said that he would check the information.

“I wouldn’t comment on something I haven’t seen. Next time I will give you an answer to the question. But in any case, according to the law, no police officer is allowed to be a part of a political party,” said Toshkovski.

The minister added that he would also check whether a police officer had the right to take a photo with a politician during a campaign.
