The foreign exchange reserves at the end of March of this year amounted to 4.287 billion euros and compared to the previous month, a decrease of 61 million euros was recorded, the National Bank said on Tuesday.
Most of the foreign exchange reserves are invested in securities (60.2%), followed by currencies and deposits (29.2%) and monetary gold (10.6%).
The comparison with the previous month regarding the placement of reserves indicates that the percentage of reserves placed in securities and gold has increased, while there is a decrease in foreign exchange reserves placed in currencies and deposits.
Foreign exchange reserves at the end of February 2024 amounted to 4.348 billion euros. They were placed in securities (58.8%), in currencies and deposits (31.6%), and in monetary gold were 9.6% of the reserves.
