As the campaign progresses, SDSM’s rhetoric takes on an increasingly disturbing tone. SDSM presidential candidate Stevo Pendarovski and SDSM leader Dimitar Kovachevski increasingly use vocabulary that contains direct insults to the VMRO-DPMNE presidential candidate, Professor Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, a move that goes beyond ordinary political disagreements.
Such behavior not only reflects badly on the SDSM figures involved, but it also serves as a stark reminder of the entrenched misogyny in the corridors of power in this party.
With derogatory remarks aimed at Siljanovska-Davkova, Pendarovski and Kovachevski not only humiliate her personally, but they show complete disregard for the dignity of all women in Macedonia, said opposition VMRO-DPMNE.
