Mayor of the City of Skopje Danela Arsovska will be served with a criminal complaint for defamation, announced the Macedonian Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinovska-Stojchevska.
The reason for that is “the insinuations and vague stories that she knew about the fire, but didn’t report it immediately”, but also for the other things she was accused of by Arsovska. The minister added that she will not allow the Universal Hall to be part of a political fight and part of Arsovska’s election agenda.
“The allegations do not deserve attention because they are a fabricated story. She herself will explain in detail in the claims about me. She seems to be doing well with lawsuits. If he wants to be a prosecutor and investigator, let him go. We will see you in court for defamation. Not only did she show disregard for the city and lack of hearing, but she also showed that the only way to deal with her is through the court,” said Kostadinovska-Stojchevska, adding that the mayor will not succeed in preventing the reconstruction with yesterday’s press conference.
