The State Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) made a decision proposing to the Academy of Judges and Public Prosecutors to suspend the procedure for the admission of 130 trainees until the end of the elections.

The decision was made with four votes “for” and one “against”. A lawsuit against the decision is allowed within 24 hours.

A complaint was filed by VMRO-DPMNE presidential candidate Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova to the SCPC that the Academy of Judges and Public Prosecutors (APP), contrary to the Electoral Code, establishes a working relationship with the candidates who attend the training for judges and public prosecutors.

Siljanovska-Davkova’s complaint was accepted by the SCPC on the grounds that the suspicions of violation of the provisions of the Law on Prevention of Corruption and Conflict of Interest and of the Electoral Code were founded, after which the Academy of Judges and Public Prosecutors filed a lawsuit, which on the 13th April was considered and respected by the Administrative Court. After the Administrative Court upheld the AJPP lawsuit, the complaint was returned to the SPCC for further processing.
