VMRO-DPMNE presidential candidate Professor Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova visited Mavrovo on Saturday as part of the campaign for the second round of the presidential elections, where she met with local citizens.
“Mavrovo has a special value for Macedonia and therefore the state and citizens must take care of this natural and man-made beauty. The systematic destruction of the environment must stop and the urban chaos in Mavrovo National Park must stop. It is unheard of in such a natural beauty protected by law in the 21st century to build illegal constructions in protected zones, to allow feces to flow into the lake, we must not destroy what nature has given us because that way we destroy ourselves,” Siljanovska-Davkova pointed out in her address at the Mavrovo rally.
Siljanovska-Davkova adds that it is even more terrible when MPs who present themselves as environmentalists participate in the destruction of the environment and protected national treasures.
