The economic director of the Toxicology Clinic, BesijaIlazi, banned the employees of the Toxicology Clinic to give media statements, after the scandals that shook the health institution for a month. She had not previously heard about the request of the employees who called for the employment of two graduate biologists and one paramedic, who are needed, instead of 18 people whose employment Ilazi insisted on, and who are believed to not meet the criteria.

After the doctors publicly called Ilazi that she does not cooperate with them, otherwise she does not speak the Macedonian language and nothing is known about her education, the Clinic is in debt, and at the moment the Toxicological Laboratory is not functioning and the employees manage with tests and one laboratory technician. Instead of responding to the criticism, Ilazi issued a written order to the doctors not to communicate with the public.

“Toxicology Clinic Skopje – On May 20, 2024, the organizational director of the Clinic issued the following ORDER prohibiting unauthorized attendance, making public statements through interviews and calling press conferences. Unauthorized convening of conferences for printed and electronic means of information, giving interviews, etc., which would cause damage to the reputation of the clinic, is prohibited. Meetings with journalists, other media only with prior notification to the acting organizational director. Failure to comply with this order is subject to sanctions,” reads the written order.
